I was happy to see the post about Sektchup fnd the sliceform plugin. I had
used another plugin in the past that would only make the slices . This one makes
the process much easier. I hope to do another sliceform project soon.
I've also used Sketchup for a couple of OA projects. I used it to design my
Christmas card this year. Sketchup is also great for Architectural OA. There are
many building models in Google's 3D warehouse that you can use to start
from. I recently did the Michigan State Capital Building starting from an
existing model. There is also a way to build the models from photographs, which
I have also done. If you haven't tried Sketchup yet, I recomend giving it a
try!
